DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us for a naturalist-guided tour of Big Waters’ Myakka Headwaters Prese
 rve. Along the way, participants will learn about the plants and animals th
 at call this place home and the importance of protecting natural areas alon
 g the Myakka River to benefit people and nature. This unique property, only
  open to the public during special events and guided tours, is situated at 
 the source of the Myakka River, where seven creeks converge. The Preserve’s
  floodplain forests contain tupelo, pop ash, and red maple trees, and suppo
 rt threatened orchids and air plants.\n\nThis program is suitable for all a
 ges. Participants under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian.\n\nPartic
 ipants should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing for walkin
 g outdoors. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes th
 at strap or tie to your feet, no flip-flops. Depending on rainfall patterns
 , some of the trails may be flooded. Please note there are no restrooms or 
 water fountains available on site. The nearest restroom is located at Myakk
 a Community Park.\n\nA $5 dollar donation per person is suggested for this
