SUMMARY:Family Nature Journaling
LOCATION:4012 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34233
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us at Urfer Family Park for a guided nature journaling event, where pa
rticipants will learn to observe and record the natural world through drawi
ng and writing. This hands-on program offers a relaxing way to connect with
nature while sharpening observation skills. Nature journaling is both fun
and meaningful, as it deepens your appreciation for wildlife and helps you
notice details that you might otherwise miss. Beginners and experienced jou
rnalers are welcome. All materials will be provided; however, you are welco
me to bring your own journal and additional materials if you wish.\n\nThis
program is suitable for all ages, but does require periods of sustained foc
us and quiet observation. All participants under the age of 16 must attend
with a parent or guardian.\n\nParticipants should bring a water bottle and
wear clothing appropriate for the weather. We recommend sun protection, bug
spray, and closed-toe shoes, no flip-flops. You may wish to bring binocula
rs or a camera as well. Restrooms and water fountains are available on site
. You may wish to bring a bag lunch or snack to enjoy at the nature center
after the program.\n\nThis program is provided in partnership with the Sara
sota County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Department.\n\nYour gi
ft of $5 or more per person will help us save wild places and continue to e
ngage people in nature. We greatly appreciate your support!
