SUMMARY:Homeschool Young Makers: Create, Brand & Sell at The Makery
LOCATION:821 Apricot Avenue 3 Sarasota, FL 34237
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:What happens when kids are given the freedom, tools, and support to turn th
eir own ideas into something real?\n\nIn this eight-week homeschool series,
young makers will dream up their own product, experiment with materials, c
reate prototypes, solve problems, and develop a small collection to sell. T
hey’ll create a business name and logo, learn how to price and package thei
r work, design a display, tell the story behind what they made, and practic
e talking with customers.\n\nThis is not a class where every child follows
the same example or leaves with an identical project. Each maker will build
something inspired by their own interests, imagination, and personality. I
deas may change. Prototypes may flop. Problems will absolutely happen. That
is part of the process.\n\nAlong the way, kids will learn how to make crea
tive decisions, work through frustration, accept feedback, manage their tim
e, and keep going when something does not work the first time. They’ll disc
over that making a product is about more than creating something beautiful.
It is also about understanding who it is for, what makes it special, and h
ow to share it with others.\n\nAt the end of the eight weeks, our young ent
repreneurs will put everything they’ve learned into action at a real Maker’
s Market at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime. They’ll help set up and manage th
e booth, meet customers, talk about their creations, and sell the products
they worked so hard to develop. They will keep the money they make from the
ir sales.\n\nThe goal is not simply to teach kids how to sell something. It
is to give them a safe place to take their ideas seriously, learn through
trial and error, and experience the pride of bringing something entirely th
 eir own into the world.\n\n\nAges 8+\n1.5 hrs\nAll Materials Included\nBegi
 nner Friendly\n
X-EXTRAINFO:*Registration reserves materials, staffing, and space. For this reason, reg
 istrations are non-refundable.\n
