BOOK IT!™ Reading Incentive Program

BOOK IT!™ is a national classroom reading incentive program created in 1984 that encourages students to build reading habits through teacher-led goals, recognition, and rewards. During the school year (October–March), teachers set monthly reading goals based on books, pages, or minutes, and students are recognized with certificates and Pizza Hut rewards when goals are met.

The program is primarily designed for school and classroom participation, with over 14 million students enrolled annually across elementary schools nationwide. In addition to the school-year program, BOOK IT!™ also offers a seasonal summer reading extension, BOOK IT!™ Summer of Stories.

Students who meet reading goals may earn certificates redeemable for a free Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza.
