Asolo Rep Summer Intensives

Train with purpose this summer at Asolo Rep. Our immersive Summer Intensives offer middle and high school students focused, hands-on instruction in acting, musical theatre, and design, led by professional teaching artists and built for students ready to take their craft to the next level.

Sessions:

Middle School Theatre Intensive | July 6-10 | Rising 6th– 8th Graders
Asolo Rep’s NEW Middle School Theatre Intensive is a week-long immersive experience in acting and musical theatre. Led by professional artists and industry experts, students train with working actors, directors, and theatre professionals in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Costume Design Intensive | July 13-17 | Rising 9th– 12th Graders
Join us for a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at the art of theatrical costuming, led by one of Asolo Repertory Theatre’s most experienced costumers, David Covach. Students will read and explore a play, select characters, and bring their costume designs to life from initial sketches to finished pieces.

High School Acting Intensive | July 13-17 | Rising 9th– 12th Graders
Asolo Rep’s High School Acting Intensive is a week-long immersion in the world of stage acting. Led by professional artists and industry experts, students will train with working actors, directors, and theatre professionals to hone their craft. Students will develop essential performing skills in voice and speech, monologue work, scene study, and acting techniques.

High School Musical Theatre Intensive | July 20-24 (Session 1), July 27-31 (Session 2) | Rising 9th– 12th Graders
Take your singing, dancing, and acting skills to the next level in Asolo Rep’s High School Musical Theatre Intensive, a week-long advanced deep training into the world of musical theatre.
