

The Sarasota County Libraries "Color Our World" Summer Learning Program offers free educational events, performances, crafts, workshops, and activities at library branches throughout the summer. Programs are designed for children, teens, and families and take place from May 31 through August 1, 2026.
In addition to library events, children and teens can participate in the Summer Reading Challenge from May 23 through August 15, 2026. Participants track their reading minutes through Beanstack or a paper log to earn badges, prizes, and free books. Readers can earn rewards at milestone levels, and eligible participants may also take part in Reading with the Rays and other prize opportunities.
Reading Rewards:
Ages 0-8:
Log your reading minutes to earn badges and rewards throughout the summer.
Readers will receive two prizes from the library by reaching 200 and 400 minutes. Some of the prizes include aluminum cups, seed bookmarks, fidget keychains, tote bags, and more!
Ages 9-18:
